he most frequently asked question around Burlingame for the past few weeks is "When is Liar's Dice starting up again?". Followed closely by "Do you feel like there is a void in your life without Liar's Dice?"
Well rest easy, liars. The return of the fastest growing non-contact sport in rural Uzbekistan IS BACK!!! Before we provide details on the start of the 2024 season we need to catch up on off-season news.

After weeks of protracted negotiations, Heineken® decided to re-up their sponsorship commitment to the governing body of Liar's Dice (Cape Cod Rules): the UFLDP. While it may not seem possible, this year's collection of Heineken® family swag will dwarf the avalanche of goodies provided by Heineken® and its sister brands in years past. The UFLDP is humbled by the continuing commitment of Heineken® and understands that the league is a cornerstone in Heineken® 's marketing strategy. 
HEINEKEN’s CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Dolf van den Brink stated: “We are excited to once again throw good money after bad at whatever this stupid activity is."
 
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., (March 7th 2024) 
After weeks of protracted negotiations, Tecate® chose to pull out of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) negotiations with UFLDP executives that would have provided untold riches to some of the top Liar's Dice athletes. Tecate®, a popular Mexican lager beer that is owned by Heineken®, recognized the unique sponsorship opportunity that some of the biggest names in Lying could have provided. Tom Wight, Senior Vice President of Tecate® Group said: "We were excited to partner with the lineup of UFLDP all-stars like Craig Naudain, Eliza Meyer, Randall Boyd and Julie Starling but when we saw the cache of Mich Ultra in Pinciotti's garage we couldn't justify propping up whatever scam that was going on."

After weeks of anticipation the latest redesign of the legendary UFLDP CUP was unveiled at an invitation-only ceremony at an undisclosed location.
While in previous years the UFLDP CUP was designed by legendary jurist and bohemian artist "The Judge'', a new financial agreement couldn't be reached and the most recent UFLDP CUP was "generated" by the AI solution Anthropic.

Finally, the first night of the 2024 UFLDP Season will be this coming FRIDAY, APRIL 7.  Because we hope to open tournament play to competitors who are not members of BCC the location of the first match is TBD, but will be within the Burlingame neighborhood. Again, Location TBD. 
Please respond to this message if you hope to play and details will be provided.  Also, if you can't play Friday but can maybe play Thursday let us know and we may move the date.
